  • Supermarket matcha is almost always blended — multiple cultivars, multiple origins, optimised for margin. We are cultivar-specific, region-specific, small-batch imported. You'll know the first time you whisk it.

  • 2g + 30ml water at 80°C — not boiling, it turns bitter. Whisk in a W motion for 30 seconds. Add 150ml milk or water, pour over ice. No barista. No espresso machine.

  • Hojicha contains 11.8mg of caffeine per gram — significantly less than matcha. High-heat charcoal roasting breaks down most of the caffeine in the leaf, which is why you can drink it any time of day without it affecting your sleep.
