Saemidori Matcha (Wholesale)

Sourced from the volcanic soils of Minami-Kyushu (Chiran) in Kagoshima, this single-cultivar matcha is harvested exclusively from the first spring flush of the Saemidori cultivar. The young leaf produces the higher umami and lower bitterness that gets sold elsewhere as ceremonial grade. We tell you the cultivar and the harvest instead of the label.

It dissolves cleanly and holds its character through milk, working equally well as a straight drink or a latte base.

WHY US

  • We lab-test every batch, and price transparently with low moq's. Orders start at 250g, ship fast, and restock reliably so your menu never runs dry.

  • Single-cultivar rather than a blend, shade-grown for a deeper umami profile and lower bitterness.

  • Yes. Strong enough to cut through milk while dissolving into a silky, full-bodied texture, holding its character even in high-volume pours.

  • Made entirely from the Saemidori cultivar rather than blended across harvests, giving a more consistent, defined flavour profile batch to batch.

  • Yes in quality, this matches or exceeds what's typically sold as ceremonial grade. We use "single-cultivar" instead of "ceremonial," since that label is often a pricing tier rather than a quality standard in the industry.

  • Saemidori is a single cultivar known for lower bitterness and higher umami than blended matcha. Ours is first-flush spring harvest from Kagoshima, for menus positioning matcha as a specialty item.
